I do see it has been quite a while since I've bothered to write an update, and that, my dears, is due to me leading a busy life. I've been keeping updates on FF.net, if any of you wanted to track my progress; it's just that I haven't been active here, much. Work life has kept me a little busy, of which I am happy. I've been going at it from day to day, and life has been good. However, I've had some awesome things happen to me, as of late. A few days ago, when an email was sent out around work, I was harassed by many. It was an email signifying supervisor positions opening again, and to be persistent when it came to applying. I wasn't feeling whole-heartedly into applying again so I put it off. Well, I wasn't able to put it off for long. I came into work after receiving said email and was bombarded by supervisors asking if I was going to apply, even my supervisor-at-the-time severely inquired and pretty much told me to do it. Thus, I counted about 7 supervisors and one shift manager asking if I had applied or was going to. In fact, all of them pretty much bullied me into doing so. Hence forth, what happens next after all of that occurred.
Well, that evening my supervisor pretty much kept harassing me about it until on my final break I sent a reply email stating my interest still. When the shift manager found out, he grilled me about it and asked a few questions. Later on, I was a smart ass and stated something to him; it as amusing. Continuing on, I told my sup that I had applied and that he could be happy now, along with the seven other sups that grilled me about it. Two days later, on Wednesday, I was told to go into a break mode so I could be asked a few things. I was informed ahead of time by a friend, who told me a higher-up was looking for me. Naturally, I became seriously paranoid. Well, she found me not long after because he told her where I was sitting. She told me to go into that mode and to find her. I was taken back into THE boss' office and interviewed for about 20 minutes. Right now, I feel pretty good as I related my personal struggles and how I overcame them. Generally, stating that Youtube was a good friend of mine for step-by-step information.
After I escaped the interview, I was once again grilled by some of the sups as to how it went and what happened. One of whom was actually trying to talk to me while I was on a call, which was amusing because she kept asking for more details as to what was said. I became pleased with myself due to the fact I managed to lower some of my states and better them, that of which makes my states look better when people check them out. Now that I have that information out of the way, this next part makes it even better.
Today, I went on my lunch break, as I normally do. I finished in about thirteen minutes and went back upstairs to do some writing. I didn't get to do the writing as I went to ask the operations desk about my ID, since it had expired earlier in the day. I didn't even get to ask. Earlier today, I was told by one of the shift managers (who was previously my trainer), that he was going to do an experiment with me later. That later turned out to be around 8:13 when I went to ask about my ID. I still had another seventeen minutes left of my lunch break, when I was taken off of it and educated about doing floor control, which is a supervisor action. I can't complain because I love doing floor support- not just because it keeps me from taking calls, but because I like to help people. One, when he pulled me off, he stated that I wouldn't be taking escalations- that I would just be floor support. Needless to say, I was still thrilled. I was even pulled off to the side later and asked, by one of the higher ups, if I liked being in control there. I loved it. I was like that for about three and a half hours and even given inside information that I tried to find out weeks ago. So I'm lead to believe, with the recommendation of seven sups and a shift manager, I may be in line for some good news. Even the newly promoted (sups now managers) liked me to the point where they both told me to apply. The one's response was amusing: "what's the worst they can say, 'no'?. Well, what's the worst 'I' can say, 'no'?" Since she and my now former sup were two of the people interviewing me, and asking me to apply again. So yes, I have had quite the interesting period of time here these past few days. I don't know if it will be fully worth the stress, but only I can determine that since no one else can answer that for me.
That leads to my fanfiction account where you can read the stories I put up. The newest one is updated weekly, every Sunday.
